Paired comparison

Definition:

The paired comparison test is a psychometric test in which stimuli are presented in pairs. The respondent’s task is to tell whether one of the pair is different than the other, or to tell which is stronger, more salty, etc., or to tell which he prefers. Generally each permutation of the possible pairings of stimuli is tested in rotated order to avoid first order bias.
